About the Project

Service Description

I’m Lorina Punsalang, a PhD student and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) committed to expanding access to preventive healthcare in underserved communities. Through this initiative, I am developing a virtual training platform for unlicensed health workers, also known as Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), in remote Philippine areas to better support elderly patients with chronic conditions. Inspired by my clinical experience and deep cultural ties, my long-term vision is to help establish a community-supported clinic equipped with trained local workers, virtual supervision, and evidence-based care models rooted in compassion and equity.
